Dogs are very welcome at Henfields Country Retreat. Three of our luxury lodges welcome you and your dogs - Roe Deer, Fox Run and Door Mouse are all our dog-friendly spaces, each has a private enclosed deck and pet-secure gates so that your pet cannot easily wander off.
There's ample green space at Henfields to exercise your friends. Take a stroll through Squirrel Woods, wander up the hill to see great views of the Somerset levels or use our enclosed lead-free area to let your friends off the leash to run free. Somerset has excellent locations to go exploring with your dogs, the Quantock Hills AONB has beautiful walks, both short and long, Steart Marshes share wide open spaces. Go splashing in the sea at Burnham-on-sea or Watchet.
Please specify at the time of booking if you intend to bring your dog(s), an extra charge is applicable for your pets stay. A maximum of two pets are allowed in each property. Registered guide and hearing dogs belonging to those with visual and hearing impairments stay without charge.
In our experience it’s rare to find luxury accommodation that accepts dogs, but we believe the two needn’t be mutually exclusive! For your pet’s safety and the consideration of other guests, we do ask that dogs and their owners follow a few simple rules while they are staying:
In the interest of guest safety and the welfare of other guests’ dogs, the following breeds of dogs are not allowed at Henfields Country Retreat. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
