Henfields Country Retreat is a quiet haven for guests who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our retreat is located within 30 acres on a working farm at the heart of Somerset.
Outstanding views over the Somerset levels to the Mendip Hills and sited in the lee of the Quantock Hills, our retreat is a calm, relaxing space to hideaway from the world and regenerate.
With exquisite sunsets and fabulous sunrises, lodges are sited to give the maximum privacy whilst providing the best outlook on Somerset’s stunning countryside.
Take a stroll along our 'boardwalk' to Squirrel Woods. You may come across chattering squirrels, you'll enjoy the peaceful Somerset tempo and get some gentle exercise! Local wildlife includes rabbits, foxes, deer and, being so close to the
Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust conservation area at Steart, a wide variety wetlands wildfowl and magnificent birds of prey.
Henfields is ideally located to explore the surrounding countryside. Somerset is home to many attractions, Areas of Outstanding Beauty, fantastic country pubs, gardens and much more; visit and go exploring. Please have a look at our map showing some of the more local attractions.
Each lodge is individually designed and crafted, have their own unique features, personal touches, private decking area and secluded hot tub. All are fully equipped to a high standard to ensure that your stay with us is as comfortable as we can make it.
Comfy beds and soft furnishings complement the quality fixtures and fittings. Well-proportioned bedrooms add to the sense of space and light. Open plan living and kitchen ensures that there is good space for family indoor activities.
Large, internet connected, smart TV's enable you to enjoy both 'normal' TV channels and, with your own subscriptions, access to Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc...
With a well-equipped kitchen you can conjure whatever culinary delights you crave. Equipment includes all the usual kitchen appliances including toaster and microwave, fridge, freezer, wine cooler and all the pots and pans you may need. Outside on the decking there is a barbeque area for use with disposable barbeques.
Henfields Country Retreat is a member of the Hoseasons Autograph Lodge Holiday collection and subscribes to Hoseasons 'Safer Stays' principles to ensure your stay is as safe as we can make it.
The retreat is NOT a high footfall location, every lodge is private with its own parking space and private entry. There are no communal areas except for our Reception where we are taking extra precautions when our guests check-in/out.
